Sean
Sean O’Meara, BSc, MISCP, Director Excel Physiotherapy
Sean set up and has been running Excel Physiotherapy Clinic since 2010.
Sean is a native of Ennis who graduated with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. Prior to undertaking his physiotherapy degree Sean studied Physiology and Health Science in IT Carlow.
He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (CPSEM).
Sean specialises in hands on physiotherapy providing assessment, treatment and advice following injury, surgery and painful conditions. Over the years he has developed a keen interest in treating neck, back and shoulder pain along with a strong passion for all sports related injuries.
Sean has worked overseas in England and Melbourne, Australia and has completed numerous post graduate studies in Ireland, England and Australia in Dry Needling, Kinesio Taping, Rocktape, Clinical Pilates and Sports Medicine.
He has a great enthusiasm for his job, helping people recover from injury through treatment, rehabilitation and education.
He is very active in the local sporting community and provides physiotherapy to many local GAA, Soccer and Athletic clubs where he has been lead physiotherapist to the Clare Senior Football Team since 2009.
